Brookfield is one of the three largest purveyors of luxury rental space in North America. The company owns 179 premier office and residential sites in cities like New York, London, Toronto, and Los Angeles. Due to their premium nature, these buildings often have their own established branding. The company needed a complete overhaul of its visual design, UX and UI, covering in-depth digital experiences for roughly 50 separate locations. The parent design system had to be flexible and robust enough to address the unique requirements of each of them. That meant interchangeable components capable of tolerating diverse colorways, and the ability to incorporate third-party API data on the fly for features like determining unit availability, location within a building, virtual tours, appointment setting, and actual reservations.
